Germany, here I come

Kristian Teufel, adjudicator on Guinness World Record- Ab India Todega, will start shooting for the show’s German version early next month.

I would have liked to stay in India for a few days after wrapping up the shoot for Guinness World Record-Ab India Todega. But I have to leave because I have to be in Berlin in the first week of April for the German version of the Guinness World Record show,” says Kristian Tuefel, adjudicator on the show on Colors, who has been on over half-a-dozen versions of the show that has been shot across the world including Great Britain, Italy, France, China, Germany and India.

“I learnt a bit of Hindi, thanks to Preity (host, actor Preity Zinta) and Shabbir (co-host Shabbir Ahluwalia). I don’t think I would use the words Shabbir taught me because they’re naughty. But Preity was a great help,” he says. Tuefel, 33, is overjoyed about travelling to Germany, the country of his birth. “The nicest bit about my next show is that I can conduct it in my mother tongue. I won’t need a translator. The only country I didn’t require help was Great Britain. English works there,” he smiles, adding that he would like to invite Preity to his next show too. “I’m a bit sad leaving India just ahead of my birthday, which is on March 31. Had I been here, or if it were in my control, I would have ensured that Preity was with me to bring in my birthday. She’s someone I’d like to stay in touch with,” says Tuefel, who found the records made with Kathak spins and nail sandwiches most amazing. “You’ll find these lovely astonishing things only in India.”
