star, who is dating actress Penelope Cruz, has confirmed that he will play a rocker who befriends Kevin McHale’s character Artie Abrams in an upcoming episode of the programme, reported

“We’re going to rock the house! We’re going to do some heavy metal, Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst,” said Bardem.

The news comes as actress Katie Holmes’ representative dismissed reports that she is set to join the cast.

Other celebrities who have made guest appearances on the show include Olivia Newton-John, rapper Eve, Josh Groban and Neil Patrick Harris. Daniel Radcliffe has recently expressed his desire to join the gang.
