Chopra kicked off the celebrity season on television this year with Khatron Ke Khiladi X 3 that unveiled last night. "I’m hugely excited to be the first star on TV this season and am looking forward to the shows hosted by my colleagues in the months to follow. I hope they watch mine too," she laughs. "What I’m not looking forward to is Wednesday when the first of the TRP ratings arrive. See, I’m up on my TV lingo too. It used to be Friday fever earlier, now it will be Wednesday shivers. "

The Colors show puts its 13 participants, including Rahul Bose, Dino Morea, Abhishek Kapoor, Ritwick Bhattacharya, Angad Bedi, Rahul Dev and Terrence Lewis through fear-inducing acts. Chopra’s done some stunts too, including her introduction sequence atop a speeding bike, followed by one in which she goes through fire, literally. "If Akshay (Kumar) could do them on Season 1 and Season 2 when he was hosting the show, why not me?" she retorts.

National level swimmer and numero uno model, Milind Soman, was knocked out in the first episode itself, triggering off shock waves. Back in Rio, Chopra couldn’t be more upset. "I’m close to all my boys. I know I shouldn’t be because you are in danger of losing your objectivity as a host. But what to do, I’ve turned into this stern matron who has to keep her mischievous brat pack in order," she chuckles.

Her family and friends back home were glued to the telly last night. "My brother, Siddharth, is a huge fan of Fear Factor. He was requesting me for a preview before the show went on air, just for kicks. Both dad (Ashok) and he loved it. That took care of the initial anxiety pangs," she admits.

Her mother, Madhu, is in Rio De Janerio and is often spotted on the sets. “But she’s not here to keep a tab on me. Mum’s here because I can’t live without her. This show is a big challenge and she is a part of my support group. But she only watches from the sidelines. She has no inputs to give apart from broad smiles and a warm hug at the end of a long, hard day,” Chopra insists.

Chopra’s forthcoming film Anjaana Anjaani, toplining Ranbir Kapoor releases on September 24. Isn’t that coming a bit too close to her TV debut? “No way!” she exclaims. “My last film, Pyaar Impossible, released in the first quarter. We’re in the third quarter now. I don’t think anyone will complain of having seen too much of Priyanka Chopra!”
