I don’t want people to take advantage of my social media absence: Sakshi Tanwar
Actor Sakshi Tanwar has filed a police complaint after an impersonator on Facebook spread false news about actor Shweta Tiwari’s death.
Popular TV actor Shweta Tiwari became a victim of death hoax recently. What started the hoax was a message posted on actor Sakshi Tanwar’s fake Facebook account. After sorting things out with Shweta, Sakshi has reported the crime to the police so that the miscreant can be nabbed. The actor says she wants to make people understand that they can’t take advantage of her absence on social media.

“The first thing I did was to call Shweta and clarify. Then, I reported the incident so that people behind it get caught,” says Sakshi, adding that she felt bad thinking how it must have affected Shweta. The actor, who was last seen in Dangal (2016), says that she wants such imitations to be curbed on social media. “This kind of impersonation must stop immediately. I don’t want anyone to take advantage of the fact that I’m not present on social media and create fake ids and communicate on my behalf,” she adds.

As a responsible citizen, Sakshi felt that this is the right way to handle such an incident. “If I keep quiet and let it go on, then I will be setting a wrong example,” adds the actor, who is currently shooting for a web series. Sakshi is paired opposite Ram Kapoor in the same.
