‘I worked like a dog’

Actress Karisma Kapoor, who is happy doing just one show on television tells Itee Dewan that movies are not on her radar and she is happy doing television for the time being.

Imagine listening to Lolo main Lolo… Well, if Karisma Kapoor had her way, we would have heard this song much before Kareena’s immodest Bebo main Bebo number from Kambakkht Ishq did the rounds. Says Karisma jokingly, “Now, I should ask my directors why didn’t they make a song on me?”

Jokes apart, Karisma is quite happy with the way her sister’s career is shaping up. And she confesses she advises Bebo regularly. “Ya, we kind of discuss things, but more on fashion. Both of us share a passion for fashion and clothes,” says the actress, who recently launched designer Kapil & Monika’s new store in Saket.

The actress, who is currently judging Hans Baliye, a comedy show on television says, she is “thoroughly enjoying the show”. “I never plan anything in my life. The makers of Nach Baliye approached me to do this show. Plus, it was comedy and there was David Dhawan too.”

Ask her when would we see her on the big screen and she says, “Well, I am happy doing this. I just shoot two to three times in a week and this leaves me with enough time for my family and my daughter.” So, are movies off the radar? “Not really. I get offers to act in movies all the time but I am not too sure. Maybe after this (show) I may do it.” The actress maintains that she started working at the age of 15. “I worked like a dog for many years… Now, I am really enjoying this break.”
