I recently took on the challenge of interviewing the host who made it mandatory for stars to drink koffee with him — Karan Johar. It took some effort to prevent him from taking over my job as a TV host and to resist the temptation to rename my show Farsan with Farhan.
Karan and I have known each other since we were kids. The first outdoor shooting that my sister Zoya and I ever went on with our parents was to Ooty when they were shooting Dostana (the 1980 film with Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman) produced by Yash Johar, and that’s where we got to know Karan. He is one of the funniest people I know.
Coming on Oye gave him a chance to speak about things he couldn’t talk about on his own show.
As for me, I’m spending time with my family. I’m also looking forward to the IPL season. Going by the recent IPL auctions, it looks like at least cricket is recession-free!
