Kushal Tandon is not interested in acting in erotic films
Actor Kushal Tandon says he is in no hurry to make his silver screen debut.
Actor Kushal Tandon has a huge fan following after his work on television. While everyone awaits his debut on the silver screen, he says he has been offered many erotic thriller films but won’t take up just anything out of desperation in an attempt to make a Bollywood debut.
“I want to do intelligent movies, like Udta Punjab. I have got a lot of offers for erotic thrillers. As an actor, you don’t grow in such films and there is not much to do. By the end of it all, the only people who benefit them are the producers,” says Tandon.
The actor’s contemporaries from the television world have made Bollywood debuts but failed to make a mark with their first films. Tandon is glad that he never took such a step in haste. “I haven’t done movies that my contemporaries have done and I am thankful for that. I am happy being an A-lister on television rather than doing any film and later regretting it,” says the actor.
So why is Tandon waiting for this long to make a foray into the industry? “I am not getting the kind of film I want. It has to be a sensible film that helps an actor learn and grow. Bollywood will eventually happen and whenever it does, it will happen with a bang,” he says.
