Marathi plays on television

DTH provider Reliance Big TV has launched a bouquet of celebrated Marathi plays, including plays like Purush, Kusum Manohar Lele etc.

DTH provider Reliance Big TV has launched a bouquet of celebrated Marathi plays. Some of these plays are

Purush, Raigada La Jevha Jaag Yete, Mee Nathuram Godse Boltoy, Hasva Fasvi, Ranaangan Tee Phool Rani

and

Kusum Manohar Lele

. Currently, the channel is screening eight plays for Rs 25 each.

Says Umesh Rao, senior vice president of the channel, “The plays are by legendary writers like PL Deshpande, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Raja Gosavi and Mohan Joshi among others. We’ve got them on popular demand. They will be on air till August 15.”

He adds that besides Marathi, they are also planning to shortly showcase Gujarati plays by renowned playwrights.
