Naagin 3 was the most watched show on Indian television last week

Naagin 3 sat fat on the top stop on BARC’s list of most watched shows in India last week.

Despite critical reviews, Naagin 3 has managed to pull audiences back to their television screens. The third season of the popular Colors show has slithered to the top of BARC’s (Broadcast Audience Research Council India) list of most watched shows in the country.

The show beat forever popular soaps like Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya and even newly launched reality shows like Dance Deewane to make it to the top spot. While it was on the second spot in the rural list, the numbers from the urban population helped it beat all other shows.

It gained 16,545,000 impression in week 23. The show’s lead actor, Pearl V Puri tweeted the numbers and thanked his fans for making the show a success. “Thanks a lot everyone for showering so much love and blessings #feelingblessed thanks a lot @ektaravikapoor mam for trusting me with Naagin. And congratulations nagin team @KARISHMAK_TANNA @anitahasnandani @surbhijyoti,” he wrote.

Naagin 3 stars Karisma Tanna and Anita Hassnandani play a snake woman who changes shapes to avenge the murder of her lover. Surbhi Jyoti plays a human woman who is set to marry into the family that killed the naagin’s lover.
