After setting the wheels in motion on Heroes Reborn, NBC is reportedly taking steps to bring back the first show in the Law & Order franchise. According to Deadline, though the project is not in active development, original cast members including Chris Noth (Sex and the City, The Good Wife) and Sam Waterston (The Newsroom) have been approached by the network about reprising their roles.

Originally aired on the network from 1990 to 2010, Law & Order gave rise to multiple spin-offs, including Law & Order: SVU, which continues to air on NBC.

Before announcing a possible Law & Order revival, NBC is preparing to reboot its drama Heroes with the 13-episode miniseries Heroes Reborn, due to air at some point in 2015. The original show, which aired from 2006 to 2010, focused on a set of characters endowed with extraordinary abilities.
