Late politician Pramod Mahajan’s son and former reality show contestant Rahul Mahajan has flagged off his production company with a reality show called Job Time Search. It should go on air in October on Imagine, the channel that helped Mahajan find his perfect bride Dimpy on Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega. It aims to help job hunters find the best openings, according to their requirements and merit.
Mahajan confirms the news: “Yes, I’m producing the show, Dimpy is also involved. My friend Aman will direct it, since Job Time Search is his concept and he has been working on it for a couple of years. It’s a mix of entertainment and serious search exercises.”
The reality TV star plans to involve ace company executives from various industries, including media, pharmaceuticals and IT to guide the youngsters. Shouldn’t he have timed it in March-April, after the exams? Wife Dimpy Ganguly disagrees: “It’s not just a show for newcomers. It will also come in handy for those looking for a switch that promises a higher designation and a better pay package.”
Will it stand out amidst a crowd of dance and music reality shows? Director Aman is optimistic: “You’ve never seen a show like this before on TV. It’s informative and interactive since it’s shot on real locations. There are so many unemployed individuals in the country whom you read about everyday in the newspapers. I want to help these deserving and depressed people find jobs that suit their educational profiles.”
Mahajan points out that if he could find his Mrs Right on TV, without going through newspaper ads and matrimonial websites, why can’t someone find their perfect job? "Too many unemployed youngsters are committing suicide. I want to save them," he states dramatically. The Mahajan couple recently celebrated their six-month wedding anniversary. Says Rahul, "I’m going to celebrate my wedding anniversary every six months. It makes my marriage more romantic."
