Sony’s Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega will be back with its second season next week. Titled as Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Aur Bhi Karega, it is the only show from the re-launch bouquet to garner decent TRPs.
This season, it promises a few shocks from day one. The first episode was shot over the weekend.
Buzz is that a contestant from the South, who is a hawaldar, tried to set himself up on fire. A source from the set reveals, “He insisted on performing the stunt though Salman Khan, the special guest, and judges, Farah Khan and Anu Mallik, tried to stop him from doing so. He poured petrol over his clothes and kept urging his assistant to pour more.”
After a while, his clothes caught fire. Eventually, he realised he was in danger of getting burnt and threw off his clothes.
Our source adds that his wife who sitting in the audience turned hysterical. Her husband has been performing the stunt for several years but a mishap had never occurred before.
Farah Khan confirmed the incident saying, “Poor Salman! He tried to dissaude this guy from setting himself on fire. Anu and I did too. He wouldn’t listen. He screwed up almost immediately. By the time the fire was put off, his 60 seconds were over.”

Mallik echoes Khan’s sentiments. He asserts that people are taking the title too seriously. “We had to throw out a guy because he was using a blade to make cuts on his chest. When we stopped him midway and asked him what he was up to, he said he wanted to write the name of the show on his chest. That’s not entertainment, that’s madness! Such guys need psychiatric help,” rants Mallik Khan is still in shock over the chest-cutter. She says that they had to call in the doctors because the cuts were really deep.
“If we hadn’t stopped him he might have died. We’ve had people chewing glass and spitting fire. But they had 20 years of experience and expertise,” she argues.
The choreographer-turned-director-turned-host-turned judge believes that slashing yourself and setting yourself on fire
should be strictly off the entertainment list.
“Anu and I have had to speak to the creative heads of Sony to ensure that such candidates are not allowed in,” she says sternly, “The recent contestant didn’t even get the prize money because we don’t want to encourage people to risk their lives.”
