“I lost four kg in two weeks due to the workout I get in the rehearsals and performances,” claims the actor. He adds, “I think I will end up losing an additional eight to 10 kg by the time the show reaches its finale.”

Ravi adds, “There’s hardly any break in the cycle. After a performance is over, I am relieved that it went off well. I hardly register what the judges say.”

Ravi compares being on JDJ to writing an exam. “I was in a comfort zone doing movies, though I felt acting was tough. But now, after these rehearsals and the stress to perform, I’d prefer a heavy acting scene any day.”

However, the Jhalak contestant says he’s enjoying his time on the show. “Oh, I’m loving it. It is a challenge to overcome. Thankfully, the first two acts went well.”

This weekend, Ravi will do a tango.
