Nowadays television is flooded with reality shows and as they say, as the quantity increases the quality decreases and the same thing has happenned to these quality lacking reality shows.
Show: Survivor India
Time: Saturday-Sunday, 9 pm
Station: Star Plus
Cast: Semi-popular and unpopular faces

If someone has watched Jeff Probst anchoring the international version of this show, with contestants in a worse situation, then he or she would never want to tune into this one. And those who haven’t been exposed to TV shows from offshore, we suppose they have better options to watch. Survivor India, the desi version of popular format Survivor, seems like a rough copy of the original.
The contestants are shown on a secluded island somewhere near Philippines. They’re struggling for survival, supposedly. But even in that situation, where they’re not even getting enough to keep their tummies full, our semi-popular and unknown faces sit around and discuss nominations.
They plot against each other, and gang up and throw someone out. It’s like watching Bigg Boss shot on an open island with lesser food and more politics between contestants.
When you watch this show, you’d not really know which emotion should be running past your heart and mind. Probably the only one that will stay for the longest is irritation.
We don’t like
There’s nothing that sets it apart from other reality shows shot in a semi-controlled environment

What we like
The idea of bringing Survivor to India

Show: Roadies Season Nine
Time: 7 pm, Saturday
Station: MTV
Cast: Three judges, biker boys and babes
It’s difficult to say whether this show is particularly irritating or people watching it have grown too old to fathom what’s dished out, capsule after capsule.
Once again, on popular demand, Raghu Ram, Rajiv Laxman and Rannvijay are seen grilling biker boys and babes to include them on the coveted show that journeys to different parts of the country and the world.
The interview sessions, where a lot of people are insulted pretty badly, can be fun for the Delhi-ite Butter Chicken eater who relates with such stuff, but not for a family watching it in some other part of the country. It’s somehow beyond a lot of us, what makes the interviewees feel that being on this show can change their life forever.
Maybe it’s a show that gives them a platform to show how patient they can be while being taken through some senseless tasks in some godforsaken part of the world. Tsk! About time we grew out of this!
What we like
Sometimes, the host-judge trio is super fun.
We don’t like
Just about everything else.
