For the first time in the history of MTV Roadies, the journey of the 14 final riders will be flagged out by a `rock `n' roll' concert, featuring Agnee, The Raghu Dixit Project and MTV Rock On winners, Saadhak.
In its previous six seasons, Roadies has been flagged off by the winner of its previous edition, but this time, the show producers decided to make it grand. Explains MTV General Manager and Senior Vice President (Creative and Content), Ashish Patil, "This year, since we have changed the format so drastically, we didn't want to keep the flag off so straight.
"Since Roadies itself is the only real rock `n' roll show on TV, it made sense to have a concert."
Flag off The Roadies will reach the concert at the end of `Ride with Rannvijay', which began with 24 contestants.
Three contestants were eliminated at the end of the first episode and seven more will be eliminated over the course of the next two episodes, leaving 14 Roadies who will start the India leg of the journey. Goa is the first destination of the India leg, and the 14 Roadies will leave from Goa at the end of the concert flag off.
The concert will take place at a broken-down mill in Parel, instead of a regular concert venue. Says Patil, "It's a dilapidated mill with so much character that it gels well with the character of Roadies. And to bring out its gorgeousness, we are doing the concert in the day rather than at night."

{{/usCountry}}Rock `n' roll Since the concert will be rock `n' roll, Agnee is coming up with a rock `n' roll version of the Roadies theme song that it composed for Roadies Season 5, Jeet lenge yaar.
Says Mohan Kannan, lead singer of Agnee, "We have composed a rock version of the song that we only play live. This is the first time we'll play it for TV. We'll also be playing the Splitsvilla theme song that we had composed for last season and then our usual songs.
"The great thing about playing for Roadies is that the show is cool without ever trying to be," continues Kannan. "The producers have always made sure that the show remains honest and the contestants don't try to consciously be cool. That's the way we go about our music too it's straight from the heart."
The only disappointing thing for fans is that the concert, that is scheduled to take place next week, will not be open for the public.
Patil justifies is by saying that he wants to keep Roadies exclusive.
"Roadies is a cult, and being exclu sive is the definition of a cult," he says.
The concert will be aired on MTV on December 20, at 7 pm.
