Director-TV show anchor Sajid Khan, who on July 30 debuted as a judge on India’s Got Talent Khoj 2 on Colors, has come to his sister Farah Khan’s defence. A chunk of TV critics, including Sajid’s co-judge on the show, Sonali Bendre, feel that Farah’s show on Sony Entertainment called Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, now in season three, is a partial rip-off of the Got Talent format. Sajid, however, maintains it is.

"I hadn’t watched Farah’s show during its first two seasons; I was shooting Housefull at the time and saw the show in bits. And that wasn’t enough to say whether the show was a copy. Now, when I watched two episodes while being part of India’s Got Talent, I actually feel it’s not a rip off. It has one or two overlapping elements but that doesn’t make it a copy," reasons Sajid, who adores Farah’s work on the show.

"She’s an excellent judge. She keeps her show together. I think she knows her job well and executes it brilliantly. Farah had also invited me to her previous show, Dance India Dance Li’l Masters. But since it’s a show that scouts for talent, my contract with Colors did not permit me to be part of it," informs Sajid.
