Actor Samir Soni is all set to make a comeback, with a fiction show, after a gap of almost eight years. Soni, whose last TV show was Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, is excited to play the lead in Ekta Kapoor’s latest show, Parichay — Nayee Zindagi Key Sapno Ka.
“The best part about Parichay... is that it’s male centric. That is what made me choose it. I hope this show stands out among other women centric shows,” says Soni, 42.
Speaking about his character in the serial, he says, “Kunal lives life on his own terms. I could easily relate to him, as I too had many ups and downs in my life. I have lived life on my own terms and done many things, like leaving my Wall Street job, as I believe in following my heart,” adds the actor, who made his TV debut with A Mouthful of Sky in 1996,
When asked about his upcoming projects, he says, “After Bigg Boss 4, I got many offers but I wanted to settle down and get married. Right now, I’m committed to this show, which is very demanding. It seems like an extended Bigg Boss.”
Soni, who tied the knot with actor Neelam Kothari early this year, says, life has changed after marriage. “I feel a lot more settled now and it’s always great to come home to someone. We have our share of fights, but it feels great. She is probably lucky for me,” he says, adding, “After our marriage, we spent a lot of time together, as it was sort of an extended weekend. But now, I have got busy with my show, where I am shooting for long hours and it seems like an abrupt end to our honeymoon. She was used to seeing me, which is not the case now.”
