Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar start shooting for Bade Acche Laggte Hain… Yeh Dharti, Yeh Nadiya, Yeh Rainna Aur Tum…the romantic soap with the longest title ever.

Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, two of producer Ekta Kapoor’s blue-eyed stars, finally flagged off the shooting for Sony Entertainment’s upcoming romantic daily soap called Bade Acche Laggte Hain… Yeh Dharti, Yeh Nadiya, Yeh Rainna Aur Tum… It goes on air next month, after IPL’s fourth edition wraps up. For the record, the show boasts of the longest title for a daily soap ever.

Ajay Bhalwankar, head of programming, Sony Entertainment, admits that it was the soap queen’s idea: “Ekta had always wanted the title to be so long because she adores the song and the beautiful feeling of romance it carries. She was extremely keen on getting the romance into the show right from the title to the story, the characters and the actors who emulate them on screen. She was totally convinced about the title. As broadcasters, we respect her vision as a leading producer.”

Producer Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms, beams, “If not the longest, it’s definitely one of the longest titles. I think it’s perfectly suited for the show. And it’s a title you need to ‘sing’ not ‘say’.”

The shooting flagged off with a teaser campaign, which was canned at Madh Island. The idea was to shoot a rainy sequence, since the show only comes on air closer to the monsoon months. The sequence, which has just gone on air, attempts to establish the lead characters. Sakshi plays a vivacious happy woman and Ram plays a character who is the diametric opposite.
