Small screen’s big night

An award function saw TV stars putting their best foot forward.

Glitz, glamour and star power dominated the 10th edition of the annual Star Parivaar Awards that took place recently. Held at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai, the event saw actors from all the shows on Star Plus turning up in elaborate outfits, which were in accordance with their onscreen roles.

The TV stars, who were seen performing in their characters of bahus, bhabhis, betas and patis, gave some energetic acts. Some of the characters seen performing on the stage were Naitik, Akshara, Sandhya, Sooraj, Khushi, Pratigya and Jeevika, among others.

There was also a visual spectacle in the form of a grand set that was made to resemble a fort, with 3D projections. Actor-anchor Manish Paul’s stand-up comic act, in which he came dressed as actor Sajjan Singh’s character, left everyone in splits.
