Sofia Vergara has beaten Kim Kardashian to top Forbes’ list of TV’s highest paid actresses.

The Modern Family star, who recently turned 40, earned a cool 19 million dollars last year.

Kim came a close second with 18 million dollars in 2011.

Vergara’s success is hinged on more than just her Emmy-winning sitcom on ABC, which the magazine noted averages 12 million viewers an episode.

She also has a clothing line, and massive endorsement deals.

And with business partner Luis Balaguer, she runs Latin World Entertainment, a marketing, production and new-media powerhouse.

“Because they have the relationship with a tremendous amount of talent within the Latin space, they’ve become a comprehensive partner that allows us to achieve a scale in the Hispanic market,” the New York Daily News quoted Amy Spiridakis, the director of marketing for Diet Pepsi, a client, as telling Forbes.

“LatinWE has been the connective tissue between Pepsi and the Hispanic marketplace,” she added.
