SRK calls off Fauji 2

Shah Rukh Khan had given his fans a reason to rejoice when he announced to follow Fauji with a sequel. However, the much-hyped show has reportedly been called off.

If sources are to be believed, the show has been called off as SRK thought that he would not do justice to it if it were not shot in authentic locations.

The production team was apparently keen to shoot with an army backdrop. However, the unit could not seek the required nod at various centers across the country. Unwilling to compromise, the team then decided to shelve the show.

Confirming the news, a daily quoted a source as saying, “About a 80 member team went to Dehradun to shoot at the Indian Military Academy but came back within three days as they were unable to obtain the green signal from the concerned authorities. Earlier Shah Rukh had shot for a few hours in Mumbai over two days."

Fauji 2 was to be directed by Sachin Khot.
