Swayamvar in dilemma?

Imagine says no tussle with Zee over the bride-to-be, show to begin after six months.

, could be in a soup of sorts. The actor’s current daily soap on Zee TV,

Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo

, has been extended by a few months, which means she won’t be available to shoot the matrimonial show anytime soon.

It’s said that the shooting was expected to start late January or early February, depending on when the leading daily wrapped up, so that the bride could dedicate ample time for the shoot. But now, since the show doesn’t go off air till mid next year, the matchmaking show may have to wait longer.

When asked, Nikhil Madhok of Imagine says that the show wasn’t expected to be on air in the first quarter of the year. “We’ve only shot the promo with Ratan so far. The agenda is to call for entries, sort them and finalise a group of boys. That’s a time-consuming process. So, there’s minimum six months for the show to go on air,” he adds.

It would be so petty of us to shut a show or extend it just to make life miserable for the leading lady and another channel. Ratan hasn’t formally shared any details of her new show with us. She’ll shoot for as long as we need her. There’s no bad blood between Imagine, us and Ratan,” he states.

Given that she’s a leading face on the small screen, would Ratan really tie the knot? “That’s something that I’m bound to be asked. I hope I do,” she says.
