Actors of Maan Rahe Tera... Pitaah on their father-daughter bonding.Their father-daughter bonding in Maan Rahe Tera…Pitaah has touched many a heart. But Pramod Moutho and Archana Taide, actors of the new Sony show, share a happy daddy-daughter relationship off screen, too. HT City caught up with the duo on Father’s Day.
Archana, who plays Anmol in the show, says she calls Pramod ‘Papa’ even when they’re not shooting. “He is so wonderful with me. We shoot for nearly 18-20 hours daily and he pampers me to the hilt, making sure there is nothing that upsets me.” She adds, “Papa’s (Pramod) real daughter Gauri calls me didi and we get along really well.”
About her real father, Anand, she says, “I come from a middle class family and it wasn’t easy for me to get daddy’s consent to join this industry. He’d heard stories of casting couch and with no contacts in this industry, he was very apprehensive. But he allowed me to take the plunge because he trusted me and here I’m today.”
So does Archana have any Father’s Day plans? “I plan to take my real father to dinner. For Papa, I will cook some non-vegetarian dishes.” Pramod, too, is proud of his daughters. “Archana is a promising girl and so is Gauri. Archana is showing her talent on TV. Gauri is a good dancer and will make me proud one day,” he says.
