Pen for thought

Eva Grover is relaxing after completing her glamorous role as the manipulative Niharika in Bade Acche Lagte Hai. The actor says she unwinds by writing in her diary. “I pour my heart out in it, which helps me put things in perspective and gives me clarity of thought. People who don’t enjoy being alone don’t know what they are missing,” she says.

Stepping out!

Siddharth Shukla, aka Shiv of Balika Vadhu, will groove on stage for the first time in a dance performance at the Global Indian Television Awards, together with Pooja Gor. Siddharth has worked hard to ensure he performs well. He hopes that after being praised for his acting, he will earn brownie points for his dancing skills.

Shy guy

Ankit Gera, aka Mayank in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, is scared of strangers. And often, his aloofness from people he doesn’t know is misconstrued as arrogance. In his defense, the actor says, “I take my own time to mingle with strangers and there have been times when I just don’t get along with them. But I don’t do this on purpose and I feel sad when people misunderstand me.”

Anjum Farooki, aka Gauri of Balika Vadhu, and Rubina Dilaik, aka Radhika in Choti Bahu, are excited about their debut in theatre. They feature in Wakeup Call, by Sachin Gupta. The play, which features other familiar faces from the TV industry, including Gauri Karnik, Praneeta Sahu and Kashmira Irani, explores the emotions of guilt, denial and fear after a bomb blast in Mumbai.
