An advertisement posted by Surf Excel Pakistan has gone viral on social media for all the right reasons, gaining more than 10 lakh views in 5 days.

Celebrating the spirit of Ramadan, the ad has touched numerous hearts on both sides of the border and continues to gain popularity. It has been directed by Vasan Bala, who is perhaps best known for scripting several successful movies such as ‘The Lunchbox’ (2013), ‘Bombay Velvet’ (2015) and ‘Dev.D’ (2009) among others.

In the ad, three kids dressed in their shining new white kurtas spot an old samosa vendor with his cart stuck in a ditch, right before iftaar (breaking of fast) begins. Ingenuous as they are, the kids take it upon themselves to prove that all it takes is a willing heart to care and share. They take the samosas in their kurtas and start selling them in a most endearing manner while staining their kurtas in the process. No surprise then that Surf excel manages to keep bringing smiles on millions of faces with their ‘stains are good’ motto.
