Model turned actor Amrita Raichand is a known face on the small screen, with various advertisements and TV shows to her credit. Now, the actor plans take her filmy career more seriously, after doing cameos in films including Ready and Luv U Mr Kalakaar.

Like many others, Amrita believes that it helps to have a godfather in the industry. “It is important to know the right people, as it does help. And there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Having said that, no matter how many contacts you have, if you are not talented, no one can help you,” says Amrita, who currently stars in the show, Mummy Ka Magic.

TV or films, what excites her more? “I have not really done much of films as compared to TV. Both have their own charm. I see my self as being very successful and it doesn’t matter which medium provides me with that platform,” she adds.
