He says, “Veer Shivaji Maharaj cannot be understood in books. One has to live by what he preached. I want to ensure that I live up to the image of the man. I am not even a fraction of what he was, yet I have been lucky to get to play him on screen twice. It is not just a role for me, but a life that I will lead.” The shoot will begin in 10 days, and telecast will start early March.

Incidentally, Kolhe hails from Narayangaon, a village situated at the base of Shivneri, the birthplace of Shivaji. Stepping into the shoes of teenage actor Paras Arora, who essayed the role of a young Shivaji, he feels, “Though I am portraying the same role again, this show would be a completely different platform with new audiences. I am happy to portray someone who is an inspiration to many.”
