‘We’re not going to rush it’

Says Jaya Binju, who plans to wed Sachal Tyagi next year.

Jaya Binju, who plays a central character for the first time in the show Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des on Sahara One, will be tying the knot early next year with fiancé Sachal Tyagi, who plays the villain Ranvijay in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo on Zee TV. The couple started dating shortly after they met on the sets of Sahara One’s Ghar Ek Sapna nearly a year ago.

“We were cast opposite each other. Ours weren’t the key roles, but the parts were considerably long. We would meet and spend time on the sets. We became friends and eventually fell in love,” says Binju.

However, the dates for the wedding haven’t been finalised yet. “Right now, I’m focusing on my show and Sachal on his. We’re not going to rush it. It will be a traditional wedding for sure,” says the actor.

The two say there is no professional rivalry between them. “The shows are important for us, but not so much that we’d discuss them all the time,” says Binju.
