'…Back to India, China': Trump's example while launching ‘Gold Card’ for migrant workers| US News

President Donald Trump unveiled his new “Trump Gold Card” program, describing it as a fast-track immigration and talent-retention system aimed at keeping top global graduates and skilled workers in the United States. Trump said the program—priced at $1 million for individuals and $2 million for corporations—would generate major revenue for the U.S. government while allowing companies like Apple and other major employers to retain foreign graduates from elite universities. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick called it the “most rigorous vetting system ever,” saying card holders would receive a path to citizenship after five years. Trump emphasized that the initiative would help businesses keep top talent, end forced departures of high-skilled graduates, and bring “billions of dollars” into the U.S. Treasury.
