BJP MP Varun Gandhi questions party's poll campaign in UP amid a surge in cases

Varun Gandhi has questioned the logic behind UP night curfew. The BJP MP tweeted saying that though there is a night curfew in UP, lakhs are being called for rallies during the day. Stating that night curfews don't have much of an impact, he said that it should be decided if priority is halting the Omicron spread or showing electoral power. Varun Gandhi also said that policymakers should lead from the front and inspire people to stay indoors. However, this isn't the first time, the MP earlier criticised BJP's handling of farm protests. Owing to the Omicron threat, UP has banned gatherings of over 200 people.
