- The Modi government swung into action to address oxygen shortage across the country. The ministry of home affairs (MHA) banned non-medical use of liquid oxygen while plants have been asked to maximize production. The ministry order will be implemented across states and UTs without exemptions in a bid to ensure all available oxygen is directed for Covid-19 patients. MHA has also moved to ensure unobstructed inter-state movement of medical oxygen. Green corridors are being created to facilitate a stable supply to hospitals in need of oxygen.
