COVID-19: Several dead in Colombia prison riots over fear of virus

Several dead and multiple injured riots broke out in a prison in Colombia's capital Bogota. Inmates protested against unsanitary conditions amid COVID-19 outbreak. Distraught families gathered outside La Modelo jail in Bogota. Relatives of inmates complained they had not been given any information about the inmates. Authorities are investigating the aftermath of the riots. Officials have not yet provided a toll of the violence. Colombia has confirmed over 200 coronavirus cases.
