Updated on Mar 18, 2020 09:12 pm IST

Vice-President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu, was subjected to customary Coronavirus checks when he reached his office on Wednesday. Naidu's temperature was checked using a laser thermometer, before he was allowed entry into the office. Meanwhile, he asked Parliamentarians inside the Rajya Sabha to remove their masks, citing rules of the House. Naidu is the ex-officio chairman of the Upper House of Parliament. Congress MP P. Chidambaram objected to the direction, stating that the decision to wear masks should be left to individual MPs. The count of Coronavirus cases has crossed 150 in India.
