Covid origin: Joe Biden orders report in 90 days; seeks inputs on China angle

US President Joe Biden has ordered US intelligence agencies to report to him in the next three months on whether the Covid-19 virus first emerged in China from an animal source or from a laboratory accident. ‘As part of that report, I have asked for areas of further inquiry that may be required, including specific questions for China,’ a statement from the US President said. Later while addressing a press conference, top White House official said Karine Jean-Pierre said that US will continue to press China to participate in a full, transparent, evidence-based international investigation with the needed access to get to the bottom of a virus that’s taken more than 3 million lives across the globe.
