- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that international travel on the basis of Covid testing is 'good enough’. EAM's statement comes as some countries have introduced the requirement of vaccination. Jaishankar was addressing a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart. “’People who are tested before for international travel & testing on arrival are good enough. But some countries have now introduced the issue of vaccination. We discussed how to make sure that we are not discriminated against.” He added, “All our economies have negatively been impacted by the Covid pandemic. We discussed how economic co-operation can speed up economic recovery for us.” Jaishankar also thanked Russia for the nation’s aid to India in the fight against Covid. Russia had sent at least 22 tonnes of medical supplies to India during the peak of the pandemic.
