Covid update: New curbs in Mumbai; SA variant & antibodies; Yavatmal lockdown

- From BMC announcing more curbs to a 10-day lockdown in Amravati, here are the top updates on the coronavirus pandemic. More restrictions were announced for Mumbai in view of rising cases of Covid-19. BMC said that a building with five or more Covid-19 patients will be sealed and citizens flouting home-isolation, wedding rules will be prosecuted. About 300 marshals will be hired to keep an eye on people traveling in Mumbai locals without a mask. Meanwhile, India’s Bharat Biotech sought approval for its vaccine Covaxin in over 40 countries.
