On Wednesday, the Centre announced the 24X7 Covid-19 vaccination to speed up the immunization drive in India. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan announced on Twitter. The second phase of immunization is ongoing in the country where people above the age of 60 are eligible to get vaccine shots. President of India Ram Nath Kovind was vaccinated at an army hospital in Delhi on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bharat Biotech announced that its Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin has an 81% effective rate.
