Covid update: SII gets nod for Sputnik V; 7 variants found in Varanasi

- From SII getting the nod for Sputnik V manufacturing, to The Lancet research on the gap between two doses, here are the top updates on coronavirus. DCGI gave a nod to Serum Institute of India to manufacture the Sputnik V vaccine. SII had earlier applied for permission for its manufacture. India granted emergency use authorization to Sputnik V on April 13. Meanwhile, research by Delhi’s AIIMS suggests that there was no fatality in cases where a person was infected after vaccination.
