Covid updates: Govt in talks with Pfizer for vaccines; Olympics cases cross 100

- Government told Parliament there was no fixed timeline at present for vaccination completion due to the 'dynamic & evolving' nature of the disease, however, all above 18 years are expected to be vaccinated by December 2021. The union health minister also said that the government is in talks with Pfizer for access to their Covid vaccines. Covid cases associated with the Tokyo Olympics breached the 100-mark on Friday. European Medicines Agency approved Moderna's vaccine for children aged 12-17 years. Andhra Pradesh allowed reopening of schools on August 16 for academic year 2021-22.
