‘Covishield, Covaxin now…’: Mandaviya on countries accepting Indian certificate

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said Indian vaccines are among eight approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for emergency use listing (EUL). Mandaviya said 96 countries have recognised Covishield and Covaxin. On November 3, WHO recommended Bharat Biotech-made Covaxin for EUL for 18 & above. Mandaviya said 96 countries have agreed to mutual acceptance of vaccination certificates. Mandaviya also added that over 109 crore vaccine doses have been administered in India so far.
