‘Current vaccine rollout a dismal failure’: Biden unveils Covid rescue plan

- US President elect Joe Biden unveiled a $1.9 trillion plan to tackle the coronavirus crisis and its impact on the country. Called the ‘American Rescue Plan,’ the legislative proposal would meet Biden's goal of administering 100 million vaccines by the 100th day of his administration. ‘Our rescue and recovery plan is a path forward with both seriousness of purpose and a clear plan with transparency and accountability, with a call for unity that is equally necessary.’ He also added that the vaccine rollout in the US so far has been a dismal failure and said that his administration will lay out a plan that aims at vaccinating 100 million people in the first 100 days of his tenure.
