- Scores of migrant workers were seen leaving Delhi throughout Monday. Delhi went under 6-day lockdown from Monday night amid surge in Covid-19 cases. CM Kejriwal had urged migrants to not leave Delhi over the 'short lockdown’. The distressed migrant workers, however, began to return to their native places. Covid protocols went for a toss as migrant workers thronged Anand Vihar Bus Terminal. Several migrants were seen climbing atop buses that were leaving the station. Delhi on Monday recorded over 23,680 fresh Covid cases with a positivity rate of 26.12%. The city-state also reported 240 Covid deaths, the highest since the beginning of the pandemic last year.
