- A doctor at PGIMS Rohtak suggested double masking to check coronavirus infection. Dr Dhruv Chaudhary said double masking prevents Covid-19 infection by 85-88%. The doctor’s advice comes amid a steep surge in Covid cases across the country. “Double masking prevents Covid-19 infection by 85-88%. No need to wear two masks if you are using an N-95 mask. A mask should cover your nose and mouth completely,” said Dr. Dhruv Chaudhary, Nodal Officer for Covid-19, PGIMS Rohtak. India on Wednesday recorded over 3.6 lakh fresh cases and more than 3,290 deaths.
