'If India depended on others...': PM Modi on Covid, vaccines | 75th Independence

During his Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded those involved in vaccine manufacturing in the country and said India did not have to depend on the outside world for vaccines against the coronavirus. "We can say with pride that the world's largest Covid vaccination programme is going on in India. More than 54 crore people have already taken the vaccine," he said. Earlier, PM Modi hoisted the National Flag at Red Fort on India’s 75th Independence Day. India is celebrating ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ marking the country’s 75th year of Independence.
