- Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered 50% occupancy capping in hotels in Nainital and Dehradun. He issued the order on Friday amid the increasing tourists' rush. We have issued an order regarding 50% occupancy capping in Nainital, Dehradun hotels. Challans are being issued to those who are not wearing masks. We are making all efforts to make people follow the Covid guidelines,” Dhami said. Tourists have been thronging hill stations as the heatwave has hit the plains. The tourists were, however, seen violating Covid appropriate behaviour. The Health Ministry cautioned that the second wave of Covid is not yet over. It noted that 66 districts reported over 10% positivity rate for the week ending July 8.
