• India has been witnessing a surge in Covid cases in the past few months. Both the infection & the death rate have seen an increase in comparision to the first Covid wave. The problem has been compounded by the shortage of oxygen in hospitals across the country. After several distress messages by hospitals and intervention by the courts, the government has now taken a series of steps to ensure that the menace of oxygen shortage is tackled on an urgent basis.
