- Even as the nation fights against the Covid-19 pandemic, shocking visuals have emerged from the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital in Bihar. Severe water-logging, stray animals like pigs, and accumulation of garbage are some of the ills plaguing the hospital on which people of areas like Saharsa, Samastipur, and Madhubani are reportedly dependent. Bihar currently has over 49,300 active Covid cases, and the state has seen over 4,300 deaths due to the disease so far.
