Indian Army reports 1st Covid-19 case, soldier from Ladakh tests positive

An Indian Army soldier reported positive for the novel coronavirus. This is the first case of Covid-19 in the Indian Army. The soldier, from Ladakh Scouts, contracted the infection from his father who travelled to Iran. Army officials confirmed that the soldier was on leave from 25 February to 1 March. India has so far recorded 147 coronavirus positive cases - 122 of them are Indians and 25 foreigners. India has restricted flights from a number of countries - most of them being coronavirus hotspots.
