Tokyo Olympics postponed to 2021 amid coronavirus crisis

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics has been postponed to 2021 in view of the coronavirus crisis. The decision comes after weeks of speculation over the issue. The decision is likely to disrupt the global sporting calender in the coming year. Japanese PM Shinzo Abe said that the safety of security of athletes is their first priority and added that they will remain in touch with the IOC over the issue.
