  • A health officer in Manipur introduced a creative dance therapy to beat Covid-19 stress. Maibam Ranita Devi, 34, is a community health officer at Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) Awang. Devi is using Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) to help Covid patients overcome anxiety. “Covid-19 patients are very stressed out & it is important to ease their anxiety. Patients used to call me daily & share that they were having discomforts. I took some online classes & started implementing creative movements to patients. It was difficult to convince community people but we are slowly building rapport,” Devi said. The 34-year-old frontline worker is conducting classes at Wabagai Leikinthabi village.
